Management of purchasing activities
The purchasing activities of the ThyssenKrupp Group are managed by Corporate Materials Management in association with representatives of the segments. The purchasing coordinators in the segments are responsible for coordinating purchasing activities in their particular segments. The principle is "as decentralized as possible, as centralized as necessary!"
Organizational structure in Germany

Corporate Materials Management coordinates international conferences (Purchasing synergy meetings) in association with the respective national organizations. Conferences are held in the UK, the USA, Italy, France, Spain, Brazil and China.
