Help on file formats/plug-ins
Numerous files such as audio/video files and various types of documents are provided at thyssenkrupp.com. The software needed to display the files is provided by the manufacturers as a download via the listed links.
Video and audio
We normally offer video and audio in RealVideo, RealAudio or Windows Media format. In order to play the images and sounds on your computer, you will need an additional player such as the RealOne Player or the Microsoft Windows Media Player.
Flash
If you do not have the extension needed to view these files, you can download it free of charge from the website of the manufacturer Macromedia. Follow the manufacturer's installation instructions.
PDF files
In order to display documents in the original layout, we use the PDF format. To open these files, you will need the Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from the website of the manufacturer Adobe.
Zip archives
ZIP archives are needed to compress large files or gather several files together into one. To open ZIP archives (files ending in ".zip") you will need a ZIP program (e.g. WinZip). The ZIP archive opened using this program contains compressed files; you can then save them to the hard drive (e.g. by dragging them to a directory on the desktop). This will extract the data and you can access the files as normal.
